Inside Dublin #1
It is getting to that time in Dublin where everything seems to be kicking off and the Winter is a far away thing of the past. The seasons parties seem to be at a scale which I have not seen in a long time. The Easter weekend and the week following alone played host to amazing acts and DJ’s such as Nina Kraviz, Lakker, Surgeon, Christopher Rau, Oliver Huntemann, Funktion of Sandwell District and Phil Weeks.
With all them out of my system I now settle myself until this coming weekend which of course plays host to Record Store Day on the Saturday. On the night in question infamous weekly gay night Mother have the amazing Optimo DJ’s over and Bodytonic have a huge line up in the Twisted Pepper which will include a headlining spot from Morgan Geist of Metro Area.
You may or may have not heard but Dublin’s ever growing scene has gained alot of notoriety as of late.
The big news at the moment is local hero Sunil Sharpe releasing the 2nd 12″ on Blawan and Pariah’s label “She Works The Long Nights”. You can listen to a stream of the EP here:
