Inside Dublin #3

Inside Dublin #3

Hey Readers. Dublin here, as you may or may not have noticed we have not posted here in a while.

Our excuse; Dublin has been going off the last two weeks with some massive MASSIVE parties.

Our Journey starts off little under two weeks ago. Myself and a few other dj’s and producers venture off to the infamous Life Festival which has one of the best line ups to date ever. Acts included: Marcel Dettmann & Ben Klock, Planetary Assault Systems, the ever amazing and my personal favorite Blawan, Martyn, Nicholas, Lovebirds, Jamie Jones, Synkro, Kryptic Minds, Emalkay & many many more.

It goes without saying the weekend was a complete blur. Some of the most outstanding sets ofthe weekend actually came from Irish dj’s the likes of; Johnny Brennan, Colm Brophy, Niall Dunne, Al Keane & Finn Merrins.

Now on to the weekend just gone.

With Forbidden Fruit festival coming into its second year they literally spared no expense with New Order, Leftfield, Death In Vegas, Friendly Fires, Horsemeat Disco, Grimes, Austra, Com Truise, The Rapture, Modeselektor, Wilco & Beirut taking thousands to the filled Royal Hospital grounds in Dublin,

A personal favorite of the weekend was Death In Vegas playing out the successful new album “Trans-Love Energies” not forgetting to include such classics as “Hands Around My Throat” and such other.

To be honest what mainly created a stir was the massive after parties on each day of the festival. On the Saturday Button Factory hosted a live set from the ever talented “The Field” and on the Sunday Ben Klock returned to what he quotes his third favorite venue ever, The Twisted Pepper to rock out another kicker of a set having only headlined Life 7 days prior.

With the upcoming weeks only showcasing just as much talent you can expect the likes of: Jam City & Jeremy Underground Paris on June 7th, Xhin on June 22nd, Then further on: DVS1, Joy Orbison, Mano Le Tough, Red Shape & So on.

Til next time.

Daire
